Associate Pastor of Discipleship


Principal Function

Lead and direct all the church’s youth to adult discipleship ministries and general campus operations by providing planning, organization, recruitment, training, communication, and evaluation for these ministries in keeping with the church’s mission and in cooperation with other ministries. The goal of this ministry position is to grow the church spiritually, individually, relationally, and numerically. 

 

Qualifications         

Born-again believer with proven Christian character, integrity, honesty, humility, spiritual depth with knowledge, wisdom, a teachable spirit, and team player. Able to communicate well and work well in a quick paced environment. Required ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Must have high technology skills. Supportive of the mission and vision of the church. Licensed & Ordained minister with 10+ years experience in the field or similar field. Masters degree required in related field. Able to pass a background check. Agree and sign church leader commitments. Once hired, become an active member of FBCN.

Evaluation            Ongoing and based on the performance of job duties and expansion of ministries.

 

Responsibilities

Ministry

1.     Lead, develop, plan, organize, communicate, recruit, train, equip, supervise, support, evaluate all youth and adult discipleship ministries as well as overseeing campus operations (A list of ministries will be assigned)

2.     Work to increase the number of ministries, leaders, participants & people reached in your ministries

3.     Select and develop leaders in your ministry areas, preforming training, coaching, evaluations and feedback

4.     Assist the senior pastor with pastoral duties as directed (communication, hospital visits, home visits & counseling, weddings, funerals, prayer and general ministerial duties)

 

Communication

1.     Actively participate each week at one of the Sunday Morning services and the Sunday evening service and in weekly staff meetings, staff Bible studies and other meetings where required

2.     Regularly meet with and weekly communicate with the ministry leaders in your charge to provide leadership

3.     Meet weekly and communicate regularly with the Senior Pastor to discuss ministries, plans and progress

4.     Submit regular written/electronic monthly reports to your supervisor about the progress of ministries

 

Administrative

1.     Develop and maintain a database of people (including prospects, decisions, members, and leaders and work them through the cycle, updating database regularly, accomplishing tasks on time for your ministry areas)

2.     Maintain accurate records for ministries, including attendance, tasks, documents, applications, background checks, waivers, leader agreements, list of equipment, etc, and store them in a secure way available for staff

3.     Create ministry budgets and disperse with approval of your supervisor funds in accordance with set policies

4.     Develop, communicate and implement written plans, policies and procedures for your ministries

 

Work Zone

1.     Principally responsible for the oversight of the Worship Center (minus the auditorium) area of the campus plus all other rooms and areas used by the ministries, including operations, scheduling, set up, and security.

2.     Perform daily/weekly walkthroughs and overviews of the assigned work zone and areas used by your ministries verifying proper set up, cleanliness, security, and notify custodial and maintenance teams concerning needs.

3.     Keep offices, work areas, ministry areas clean, organized and secure, maintaining a professional environment

4.     Work to increase both the efficiency and effectiveness of the physical work zone

 

General

1.     Continue in personal spiritual growth through Bible Study, prayer, holiness, evangelism and spiritual disciplines

2.     Continue in professional education and self-improvement in your area of ministry & leadership skills

3.     Joyfully support the church (publicly and privately) with time, talents, and treasure. Heb 10:24-25 & Mal 3:10

4.     Special tasks and projects assigned by the Senior Pastor

Assistant or lead Preschool Teacher


First Baptist Church of Navarre is looking for assistant teachers for their part-time Preschool Ministry. We're looking for people who want to work with children ages 18 months to 5 years. First Baptist Church of Navarre Preschool is conducted in a safe, supportive, and Christian environment. Our focus is to show love and nurture each child; not to make a profit.


Our Preschool program runs from 8:30 to 12:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Assistant teachers will work about 15 hours a week.  We also have work available on Sunday mornings and Monday and Wednesday evenings.  Classroom size is kept between 7 and 11 students. Our goal is for you to always have another staff member in the classroom with you for support.


 Qualifications:

Born-again, baptized believer with proven Christian character, integrity, honesty, humility, spiritual depth with knowledge, wisdom, a teachable spirit, and teamwork.
Supportive of the mission and vision of the church and willing to teach in accordance with the church’s statement of faith.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. CPR training is required.


Must be willing to complete 40 hours of training as mandated by the State of Florida for Childcare Workers within one year from the date of hire. Completion of this training can qualify workers for a higher salary. If you don't have your 40 hour training, we can help you!

 Become an active member of FBCN or provide proof (though the Employee Church Endorsement form) that you are an active member of another like-minded in belief and practice Christian church.
Agree and sign the church leader commitment. 
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must adhere to First Baptist Church Child Protection Policy Guidelines and all church policies.
 

Job Type: Part-time

 Salary: $10.50 to $16.00 /hour

Substitute Preschool Teacher


First Baptist Church of Navarre is looking for substitute teachers for their part-time Preschool Ministry. We're looking for people who want to work with children ages 18 months to 5 years. First Baptist Church of Navarre Preschool is conducted in a safe, supportive, and Christian environment. Our focus is to show love and nurture each child; not to make a profit.


Our program runs from 8:30 to 12:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Substitute teachers work on an as-needed basis. Substitute teachers can be called well in advance of a teacher absence or the morning that he or she is needed in a classroom.  It is not necessary to have complete availability during all school hours; many of our substitutes work other jobs.  You'll always have another teacher in the classroom with you for support.

Cleaning staff


First Baptist Church of Navarre needs cleaning staff that are available on a on-call basis to help during busy times of the tear and when other cleaning staff is unavailable. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and washing windows. May require assistance in setting up tab les and chairs.

Requirements:

- Must be born-again, baptized believer.

- At least 16 years of age.

- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and carry it a distance of 50 ft.

-  Commercial cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
